Liverpool can boast a magical programme of Christmas shows, from concerts with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, to the Wizard of Oz at the Empire.
The latter runs from December 13 to January 7 and stars Aston Merrygold as The Tin Man and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK winner and Dancing on Ice star The Vivienne as The Wicked Witch of the West.
Liverpool’s Royal Court stages its annual Christmas show The Scouse Dick Whittington November 10–January 20.
The Woman in Black is at the city Playhouse December 5–30, while the Everyman stages its Rock ‘n’ Roll Panto Cinderella November 17–January 20.
Sleeping Beauty at The Auditorium, M&S Bank Arena stars Katie Price as Carabosse, Bippo as The Castle Clown, Britain’s Got Talent finalist Lucy Kay as The Fairy and Andy Brennan as Queen FiFi of Fazakerley.
